Thank you for the response. When are prospective students likely to know if they have been accepted on the course to start on the September intake ?
Angela – providing all the correct information is provided in the inital application, you should get an answer within a a month, hopefully a few weeks. If our Admissions Department is exceptionally busy, you will have to wait a little longer for a response. Best, Karin
We’ve come to the end of our Q&A session today. Thank you very much to everyone who took part – I hope we managed to be of assistance and provide the information that you were looking for.
We will hold many more of these virtual open day events over the coming months so please check www.pg.bham.ac.uk now and again to see what we’ve got lined up for the future. If you’d like to visit our campus (in real life!), our next Postgraduate Open Day will take place on Wednesday 22 November 2017. We also run bespoke campus tours throughout term time and Cafés at which you can meet current students.
Good evening Karin. Good evening Karin. I just wanted to find out the start dates for the next September Cohort for the Msc Public Service Commissioning.

Whether you are looking for a redbrick campus experience in the heart of England, time away from a busy job and the head space to think, or an opportunity to connect from home and learn alongside an international cohort, we offer a high quality, practice-oriented and flexible portfolio of postgraduate programmes, designed to benefit you with fresh perspectives and insights on the developing public service agenda. We aim to hone your personal skills of enquiry and critical reflection on policy and practice, and grow your confidence as an effective public leader.
Welcome to this virtual open day about postgraduate programmes in the Institute of Local Government Studies. Dr Karin Bottom (Director of Postgraduate Education and a Lecturer British Politics and Public Policy) is now available online until 20:00 to answer your questions.
Your question will be posted on this feed once it has been answered, which might take a little time if we receive a lot of questions. Please don’t worry if you don’t see your question and its answer immediately – you only need to submit each question once and keep an eye on the feed for when the answer is posted.
