Questions

What do you hope to achieve during your postgraduate study at Birmingham?

I wish to achieve more confidence and a higher level of education as a result of all this experience. New friends, a good career perspective an understanding of how the system works in this country and learning so many concepts are such additional benefits to all of it which I’m thankful to experience because of the University of Birmingham. I’m gonna take so many memories, wonderful experiences, and enriched learning with me regardless of wherever I might be. For me studying at this place will be a beautiful chapter of my life.

What are you looking forward to most on your course?

All the events related to my course especially when I get to interact with all the students through course events, pro bono projects and so much more. Interactive sessions, seminars and lectures just make it more informative and exciting to learn so much more every day.
The street law projects are of keen interest to me because I get to learn a lot of things from them which I certainly couldn’t experience back in my country.

What have been your first impressions of Birmingham so far?

First impressions are always important and leave a good mark in one’s memory and this place has done that for me. I love the weather (P.S. my personal preference & favourite) and the people over here are so warm and welcoming. Always ready to help you as an international student it was my concern as to how people would treat me but to my surprise it has been good and heartwarming to the extent that I can say I feel like I’m not so far from home?
Every morning, when I walk to my university, seeing really beautiful smiling faces brightens my day and makes it a little bit easier to not miss home. Although the sudden rain does surprise me at times, I believe it is a part of living in this beautiful place.

What was your motivation for postgraduate study?

My motivation for pursuing postgraduate studies stems from my parents, particularly my mom. She has always believed in me, encouraging me to pursue my education and achieve my goals despite any obstacles. She has been my unwavering source of support, and I am grateful for her influence in getting me to this university and propelling me forward in life.
Nonetheless, I want to work towards improvement and bring change on a higher level. I believe that through my profession, I can be a part of it, and this is one of my paths towards achieving it.
