What has been your biggest achievement during your course so far?

My most significant achievement during my course has been successfully navigating and adjusting to life in a new city. Relocating for my studies presented a unique set of challenges, but overcoming them and establishing a sense of belonging has been immensely rewarding on a personal level. Additionally, I take pride in becoming a student ambassador for the university. This role not only reflects my academic commitment but also allows me to contribute to the community by helping fellow students navigate their own journeys. Balancing academic responsibilities with personal and professional growth in a new environment has been a fulfilling and transformative experience.

What are the best things about your course?

The best things about my course are the amazing people and the simplicity that makes learning enjoyable. Hello, I’m Ishaan Goyal. I earned a First-Class Honours degree in BSc Economics and Management within an accelerated two-year timeframe in Europe. My academic journey has been characterized by a commitment to efficiency and dedication to academic excellence. The decision to pursue postgraduate study was motivated by a genuine interest in financial analysis, particularly within the context of investment banking.

What was your motivation for postgraduate study?

My motivation for pursuing postgraduate study in MSc Financial Economics at the University of Birmingham stemmed from a deep-seated passion for delving into the intricate realms of finance and economics. As an aspiring professional in the field of Finance, I recognized the need for advanced knowledge and specialized skills to navigate the complexities of the financial landscape.
