Questions

What are you looking forward to most on your course?

To understand the basic principles of robotics, including kinematics, dynamics, and control systems. To explore algorithms and techniques for machine learning and perception. Learning about hardware and software integration in robotics, including programming microcontrollers. I want to gain more knowledge from computer science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and cognitive science. I am excited in learning to use tools like ROS (Robot Operating System), Gazebo, or V-REP for robot simulation.

What have been your first impressions of Birmingham so far?

As an international student, I find a sense of peace in my surroundings. The lack of noise pollution and the consistently mild climate contribute to my comfort here. I have grown to love the UK, especially Birmingham, for its serene environment, welcoming community, and the kindness of its people.

What was your motivation for postgraduate study?

My school days were difficult, and I found it hard to choose an undergraduate course that resonated with me. However, during my undergraduate studies, I discovered my passion for robotics and automation, which inspired me to continue my academic journey with a Masters in Robotics.
