Tell us about your current role and employer.

As a Customer Success Executive at Oncefor All, my role involves ensuring our clients are satisfied with our products and services. I work closely with customers to understand their needs, provide tailored solutions, and ensure they achieve their goals using our offerings. My responsibilities include onboarding new clients, managing relationships, troubleshooting issues, and offering ongoing support to maximize customer satisfaction and retention. Additionally, I collaborate with other teams to enhance the customer experience and contribute to the overall success of the company.

What was your biggest achievement during your course?

One of my biggest achievements during my MSc in Management course was successfully completing the Postgraduate Professional Development Award. This award required me to demonstrate the skills and knowledge I had gained through various extracurricular activities, including my internship with Instudents, where I gained valuable industry experience, and my role as a Research Assistant for the EEF project. These experiences helped me refine my research, teamwork, and leadership skills.

Additionally, working as a Website Content Management Assistant with the Work Link team at the University of Birmingham allowed me to develop strong digital communication and organizational skills. I contributed to improving the content and structure of the website, which had a direct impact on student engagement and career services.

This combination of practical and academic achievements not only enhanced my employability but also gave me the confidence to apply what I had learned to real-world challenges. Balancing these roles alongside my studies taught me effective time management and how to apply theoretical knowledge in a professional setting.

What did you enjoy about your course?

The MSc Management program offered a rich blend of academic rigor and practical applications, which kept me thoroughly engaged. The diversity of modules provided insights into various aspects of management, from strategic decision making to corporate sustainability. I particularly appreciated the lecturers, who were not only highly knowledgeable but also deeply passionate about their subjects, fostering an inspiring and supportive learning environment.

How did your studies prepare you for your career?

My time at Birmingham equipped me with critical skills such as analytical thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication qualities that are integral to my role as a Customer Success Executive. The program emphasized collaboration through group projects and presentations, preparing me for the teamwork required in the corporate world. Additionally, my internships within the university and the opportunities to network with industry professionals allowed me to apply my learning in real-world scenarios, giving me a competitive edge in my career.

What was your favourite thing about the university?

The combination of the university’s iconic redbrick campus and the vibrant student life made my experience truly unforgettable. I cherished the diverse and inclusive community, where I made lifelong friendships and professional connections. The city of Birmingham itself offered endless opportunities for exploration, career growth, and cultural enrichment, perfectly complementing the university experience.
