How was your experience of accessing Skills Bootcamp careers support?
I am very happy that I attended every zoom meeting event related to my future career path.
I learned so many tips and hints about building my portfolio, networking, building my LinkedIn profile.
I am very happy with my career advisors. I got helped with building my CV, on how to organise my LinkedIn profile, I get very useful tips about my portfolio and how I can improve it. I recieved a lot of help for getting prepare for my interview, what questions should I expect.
I am very happy with the career support and I managed to get my dream job with following the advices that I was given.
What are some of the best things about your Skills Bootcamp experience or your biggest achievements?
One of the best things at the bootcamp was the support that I get. Members of staff were always there to support me, to answer my questions, to give me directions.
Every weekly challenge that I was completing helped me to gain more knowledge, more confidence and I manage to build my portfolio.
Please tell us about your new role. How does the Skills Bootcamp experience relate to your new role?
I learned everything i needed at my bootcamp, such as – HTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT, REACT JS, NODE JS and Bootstrap.
All of the skills that I learned at the bootcamp helped me to find a new job role.

Yes, I am now a Front End Web Developer at Pro Enviro Ltd.
Tell us about yourself and your journey to studying a Skills Bootcamp.
I am a Graphic Designer and Illustrator. I decided to sign up with the bootcamp because I need a new challenge and I also wanted to expand my knowledge. I decide that my next challenge will be Front End Web Development.
Why did you choose to study a Skills Bootcamp at the University of Birmingham?
Studying to become a front-end web developer can be a great choice for several reasons. First, it’s a rapidly growing field with a high demand for skilled professionals as businesses and organizations continue to expand their online presence. Second, front-end development allows for creativity and innovation, as you get to design and build the user interface and experience of websites and web applications. Additionally, front-end development offers flexibility, as many opportunities exist for freelance work or remote positions. Lastly, mastering front-end development can open doors to other related fields within the tech industry, providing a solid foundation for career growth and advancement.
