Questions

What do you hope to achieve during your postgraduate study at Birmingham?

I want to deepen my knowledge and gain a broader, international perspective on education. Studying at the University of Birmingham offers me the opportunity to build both the skills and the open-minded, global outlook needed to become a well-rounded, effective educator.

What are you looking forward to most on your course?

I have three courses this semester, and the one that interests me the most is education and social justice. I’m really looking forward to diving deeper into the coursework and engaging in discussions with my professors and classmates.

What have been your first impressions of Birmingham so far?

So far, my experience in Birmingham has been wonderful! The campus is beautiful, especially with the historic architecture and all kinds of gardens. The city itself is very vibrant and multicultural, which makes it feel welcoming for international students. Everyone I’ve met, both on campus and in the city, has been friendly and helpful. I’ve also been impressed with the support services for students, particularly for international students like me, and I’m really grateful for that.

What was your motivation for postgraduate study?

My primary motivation for pursuing postgraduate study comes from my father, who is a teacher. I have always admired his dedication to education and the positive impact he has on his students’ lives. This inspired me to follow in his footsteps and become a teacher myself.
