What would you say to someone considering the Skills Bootcamp?

It’s a great experience for learning more about how a professional production is ran.

Most filmmaking courses are tailored towards making films, which makes it difficult to know what route to take for entry level positions in the industry.

What are some of the best things about your Skills Bootcamp experience or your biggest achievements?

The placement on Father Brown was a great experience and the feedback I received from the production was fantastic to hear.

I’m hoping to keep the in contact with the production team and hopefully get work through contact with them.

Tell us about yourself and your journey to studying a Skills Bootcamp.

In 2022 I attend a part-time filmmaking course at Met-film school.
Since then I have worked on several independent short film projects and attended a lot of networking events.
The bootcamp seemed like a great opportunity to gain experience in the entry level crew roles that I was interested in.

Why did you choose to study a Skills Bootcamp at the University of Birmingham?

The thing that interesting me the most about the bootcamp was the industry placement.
Most courses are great for training for roles in the film & TV industry but few offer the chance to gain experience on a professional production.
