I would recommend this course to anyone looking for a career change, who are not sure where to start as it can be challenging at first to figure out what types of qualifications you may need and also starting from the beginning again. Bootcamp is a great options for beginners with very basic knowledge and also experienced people in the subject as there is something to learn for everyone and the skills gained from this would benefit everyone in the future.

I have just recently started looking for a career and using Skills Bootcamp Career support, however the responses and support have been very quick and I will be using this a lot more in the future.

I have gained a lot of knowledge on cybersecurity and learnt how many forms of attacks can be prevented.

At the start of this course I had very basic knowledge about cybersecurity but the instructor was great at explaining and started from the basics, while also covering the harder parts of this course. I still find it a bit challenging to keep up every week, but i believe this is better for me as it forces to stay focused and makes me learn a lot quicker.

I was looking for a career switch to cybersecurity as I have have an interest in technology and IT related subjects and University of Birmingham is was an excellent opportunity to get familiarise with cybersecurity and learn many core skills I would require to become a professional. Prior to this course I have completed A level 3 BTEC course in Business and Finance but came to the realisation that I am much more interested in the tech industry and cybersecurity is one of the most important aspect of keeping users safe and protected online.
