Please tell us about your experience of using the University's services.

My experience has been outstanding. I always go to a careers advisor when I need support with an application form or interviews. I have also started my Professional Development Plan to support secure jobs in the future.

What are the best things about your course?

My course is very accessible. My specialist leads always supports me when I need her, such as ensuring my RAP is in place, and the materials are always resourceful and accessible.

Tell us about yourself and your journey to postgraduate study.

I was an undergraduate student at Birmingham Newman University studying Working with Children, Young People and Families. I graduated in 2023. I chose the University of Birmingham (UOB) to study my postgraduate course because it has many opportunities, and my lecturers are very accessible, as I was talking to my specialist lead before I became a student at UOB. Lastly, it is the best university in Birmingham, and that’s why I also chose to study here.

What was your motivation for postgraduate study?

My motivation was to specialise in Autism and have a higher pay grade after studying. And also to make a difference with students in higher education so that I can support them in the future.
