Questions

What are your career aspirations after completing the course?

Gaining relevant experience in the area of finance and accounting, mainly in an investment firm or corporate finance or management consulting. Long term, my goal is to start a consulting firm catering to the need of SMEs back in my home country Ghana, providing financial capacity building as well as advisory in investment, business proposal and building financial reports to access credit facility from financial institutions.

Why did you choose to do an MBA?

My career has been progressive, however in the last couple of years I have had opportunities to be a part of strategic directions in companies where I have worked. My supervisors have nominated me to represent them in board meetings and although I was able to make some meaningful contributions, I realized that if I am to be a big game player and be an integral part of the strategic management of any company, I needed to gain relevant leadership and managerial skills, hence the reason why I believe pursuing an MBA is the next logical step for me now.
