What are your career goals after graduating?

To continue with my medical career and hopefully use my Medical Education Masters to pursue a future role at a medical school.

Tell us about the teaching environment and lecturers on your course.

A collaborative environment where we were encouraged to ask questions. As we were able to choose the research areas that we were most interested in there was a large degree of autonomy and the lecturers were supportive and accommodating to our diverse interests.

Tell us how the course has helped you to develop your skills for your current/future career.

This course helped me to be successful in my application to become and Academic Clinical Fellow as it provided me a good grounding in medical education research and I was able to present the findings of my mini project at national and international conferences.

What are the best things about your course?

The PG Diploma was very well structured, the modules complimented each other well and prepared me well for my Masters.

Why did you choose to study your current course?

I chose to study the PG Diploma and Masters in Education for Health Professionals at the University of Birmingham due to my longstanding interest in medical education and my paid role as a clinical teaching fellow. I wanted to increase my knowledge in medical education to enhance my teaching practice.

I chose to study at the University of Birmingham because it has an international reputation and offers face to face courses.
