Questions

What has been your biggest achievement during your course (personal, professional or academic)?

On the academic front, I was selected to do PGT KEP (Postgraduate Taught knowledge Pathway Program) for HSBC bank UK. Personally, I had the best time of my life on the trip to Lake District Coniston organised by the business school of UoB. Professionally, I have been working as Postgraduate Student Ambassador.

Why did you choose your course at the University of Birmingham?

Going to the University of Birmingham Business School provides me with an opportunity to instil essential abilities and allow me to put my ideas to the test. I found that the modules offered here align well with my learning requirement. Modules such as International Business Strategy develop my ability to create and grow an organisation, while Issues in Management, International Finance and Accounting and International Human Resources would equip me with a range of knowledge and skills in managing the financial side of the business and motivating employees. The Global Shift and International Marketing would help me with the research of the market and promote business on the international front.

What were you doing before you started your course?

Before my master’s, I was doing Bachelor’s in Commerce with Computers as a specialization from St. Mary’s College, Osmania University, Hyderabad, India.

What piece of advice would you give to anyone considering postgraduate study in your field?

There are wonderful opportunities for the course; therefore, one can also enrol in the Postgraduate Taught Knowledge Exchange Pathway (PGT KEP) program and Future leadership Certificate after getting selected. However, as an international student, I understand how daunting it is to come to a new place. But, to get a sense of calmness and to know you are doing better than before – empowers you, and makes you feel heard and proud. That’s what my experiences have been in the university so far. Let me know if there is any feedback regarding the same. Also, I would like to add that I live in the university accommodation i.e. Jarratt Hall.
