A brief history of your career since leaving the University of Birmingham

My role as a Researcher and Academic Staff and faculty member at Zagazig University, helped me to develop as a worker rapidly. This was bolstered by the skills and knowledge I gained during my undergraduate study at UoB. I have published many articles in the field of educational psychology and educational and psychological measurement and evaluation. I have also participated in many projects both inside and outside my university. I supervise many MA and PhD theses, and I’m also adjudicate panels for assesing MA and PhD theses. Finally, I also sit on the committee for the Egyptian Supreme Council of Higher Education.

Skills and knowledge from your postgraduate degree have you used in your career so far

Skills I utilise include: practice of research methodologies, statistical analysis, conducting and managing research, academic writing, and time management.

Main work activities in your current role

I'm responsible for postgraduate studies in the Faculty of Education at Zagazig University.

A typical day in your job

I review the work of students, do office work, judge and review academic papers for journals, help others with their work and monitor the timetable of postgraduate studies.

Main challenges in your role

I have to juggle a lot of tasks at the same time.

This role appeals to me because of my previous career and skills.
