A brief history of your career since leaving the University of Birmingham

After leaving Birmingham, I spent three years as the Head of the Division of Studies for the Ministry of the Presidency (2010-2013). I then spent one year as the Chief of Staff of President Piñera's first government (2013-2014). From 2014 until 2018, I was invited by President Piñera to assume the position of Executive Director of the Avanza Chile Foundation. This is an influential think tank founded by the former president and members of his cabinet, which is devoted to research and promote sound public policies. Since 2018, I have been a Minister Secretary General of the Presidency, which is responsible for the fulfilment of the government program, and for supporting the relationship with Congress.

Knowledge of macro and microeconomics and some analytical research skills are necessary. Critical thinking is also useful, as the role requires that I understand and address complex problems.
