Meet the EU Postgraduate Recruitment team

This Postgraduate Virtual Open Day is a chance to talk to members of the EU Postgraduate Recruitment team at the University.

We are happy to answer questions on all aspects of postgraduate study, which might include:

  • Seeking sources of funding
  • The differences between different types of PG course
  • The application process
  • English language requirements
  • Finding a supervisor

You can get information specific to students from your country on our website.

We have a number of EU students and alumni amongst our Postgraduate Mentors. You are welcome to ask them any questions you have about what it’s like to study at Birmingham or make the transition to living and studying in the UK.

We will hold many more of these virtual open day events over the coming months so please check now and again to see what we’ve got lined up for the future. We also run bespoke campus tours throughout term time and Cafés at which you can meet current students.

Carlos asked:

Good Afternoon, I work in railway industry for the past 4/5 years in the UK. After a chat with my boss/employee we agreed to apply for MSc Railway System Engineering and Integration. I’ve sent emails to University Birmingham but unable to revceive and answer. I do require details of the course, fees, syllabus, etc to present to the company as well. Please if you could give me more details rather than the link for the MSc from your website. Many thanks

Chloe replied:

Hi Carlos.  That is great that you have the support from your employer to study the Masters in Railway System Engineering and Integration.  I’m sorry you have not yet received any email responses.  Did you contact Joy Grey?  He is the programme administrator and will be able to provide you with more details about the course content.  In the meantime, you can download the typical timetable and module descriptions from the Course Finder page.  If you are based in the UK, you might like to try calling Joy Grey too.

The UK/EU fee for this programme is £16,000 if studied full time or £7,200 per year if studied part time over 2 years.
